Will likely buy the next book in the series as the first was worthwhile. The main storyline is the Chinese releases a virus that kills adults of certain decants (obviously not Chinese) as a precursor to a US invasion. The main character, Jack, having lost his parents has his sister kidnapped by one of the half percent immune Americans and has to rescue her. They set out on a trip that does not end well. Jack finds a camp where the invading military has been keeping children as slave labor. Jack attack’s the camp in more of a suicide attempt. Will let the rest unfold to the reader. Good character development and plausible storyline as some of the main characters don’t make it.
A good story as seen through the eyes of a normal teen. A fun read. Ready for the next installment.
This series has been very different but sure gives you plenty to think about. No adults left? Save America through kids under the age of sixteen? Amazing what happens.

Noting original, there are plenty of better choices in this genre. I want my 99 cents back on general principle.
Read it in one long sitting! Not easy to do since I usually don’t have the time, but I couldn’t stop. The action is nonstop as a few teens stand up to an aggressive foreign army. With over 99% of adults killed by a biological attack, and the children turned into free labor, it seems America is doomed.It’s up to a ragtag group of untrained teens to fight back against a superior enemy. The book ends with you wanting more, I hope it comes soon!
Lone Wolf is the first post apocalyptic book in the America Falls- Occupied Territory series written by author Scott Medbury.
Spoiler alert: as a matter of personal preference I don't care for stories about creepy pervs. The first part of the book was virtually a horror story, which isn't enjoyable for me, but the second part reverted to a .more straight up post-apocalyptic thriller theme that got me back rolling. The author does write well in general and is worth following imo.
